In 2018, the piano Duo won the international music competition "Muse" (Greece) (2nd prize), The international piano duet competition in Serbia (1st prize). |

Marina Cherkasova was born on December 17, 1989 in Astrakhan, Russia. She graduated from music school and since 2005 studied at the Volsky College of music. In 2009 she entered one of the oldest in Russia - Saratov state Conservatory name after L. V. Sobinova, in the class of associate Professor of special piano Tatyana Safonova. She showed herself as a conscientious, interesting, purposeful student of the piano Department. She participated in concerts and festivals of the Department, performing both solo concerts and chamber music. During her studies at the Conservatory she worked at the Saratov regional College of Arts, which gave her a lot of practice and good experience in teaching and concertmaster activities. In 2014, She graduated from the Saratov Conservatory. During her work in Russia she showed good results, winning with her students at various Russian and International competitions and festivals. She works not only with schoolchildren and students but also with kids from three years. During her work in kindergarten, she participated in city competitions, as well as has experience in holding holidays and performances with children. She is actively touring both in Russia and abroad, conducts open master classes. She has extensive experience teaching piano in China from 2016 . She is constantly invited to speak at lectures, master-classes and concerts in Guangdong, China. Яна Сапсай – фортепиано Яна родилась в Энгельсе. Окончила Саратовский областной колледж искусства в 2011 и Саратовскую государственную консерваторию в 2016 (класс профессора В.Е.Ханецкого). Выступала на различных площадках Саратова, Курска, Белгорода, Латвии и Белоруссии. Работает концертмейстером в Белгородском Государственном Институте Искусств и Культуры. Принимала участие в спектакле Глеба Мацевитого «ЧеLOVEвек». Лауреат международных конкурсов.

Vsevolod Tokmakov, piano
Vsevolod Tokmakov comes from St. Petersburg. He is not only an excellent pianist, but also a composer. Vsevolod started his music education at the age of 4. When he was 10, he won the 1st prize at the International composer competition in St. Petersburg. At the age of 15 he moved to the Czech Republic. He ended up the 7th at the renowned International Prague Spring Piano competition and the 1st on the Vienna International Art Duo competition. He also won 2nd prize at the Competition of Czech Conservatoires and many other prizes at different piano competitions. Vsevolod teaches piano and musical theory. He plays at cafes and events, where he mostly improvises jazz. He loves the work of Alexander Scriabin and his dream is to finish his epochal but unfinished work Mysterium. He has played the 2nd and 3rd Rachmaninoff piano concertos with renowned Czech orchestras.

Marie Schreer is a curious and open-minded musician. With a focus on chamber music, she enjoys playing with a variety of groups such as The Guastalla Quartet and Mainly Two, as well as new-music groups rarescale and the Riot Ensemble. She began playing the violin aged two with Ute Frenzel-Yildiz at the Musikakademie Diapason and continued her studies in London at the Royal College of Music with Berent Korfker, Daniel Rowland and Yuri Zhislin (viola), and then completed her Master of Music as well as an Artists Fellowship at Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Krzysztof Smietana and David Dolan (classical improvisation). There, she was awarded a Concert Recital Diploma for a final recital with high distinction.

Violinist, composer and producer John Garner has worked with a huge variety of artists across a broad spectrum of genres, including Chris Potter, The Last Skeptik, Sway Dasafo, John Williams (guitarist), Othon Mataragas, Stewart Copeland, AZEDIA and Joey Negro. A graduate of The Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, formally trained in classical, jazz and South Indian music, John defies categorisation and is continually seeking new avenues of artistic expression, not least with his own groups Charkie Parlour, EMANATA, Mainly Two & The Guastalla Quartet. He is also the co-director, alongside violinist Marie Schreer, of Turquoise Coconut, an independent record label with a colourfully eclectic output.

Julian Amberg is an oboist from Calabasas, California. He graduated from University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Oboe Performance studying under Dr. Nancy Ambrose King in 2019. In 2020, he moved to New York and became the first oboist of the Centre Symphony Orchestra in Manhattan. He has returned to California to pursue a career in nonprofit work while continuing his passion for oboe playing. |
Eric Johnson-Tamai, received his B.M. in bassoon performance from California State University Long Beach where he studied with Kenneth Meyer, also studying with Patricia Kindel as a member of the LA Philharmonic Orchestral Training Program. An active freelance performer in the LA area, he has played with the LA Philharmonic, Cabrillo Music Theatre, Riverside County, Culver City, Antelope Valley and Marina del Rey summer Symphonies, Long Beach Municipal Band, Opera Santa Barbara and many others. He is currently adjunct Professor of Bassoon at California Lutheran University, and is an active private teacher in the area. His students have performed as soloists with the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic, participants in the All-State and All-Southern CA Honor Bands, and as members of the Conejo Valley, Los Angeles and CSUN Youth Orchestras. Since 2004 he has served as the Assistant Director of the band programs at A.E. Wright and A.C. Stelle Middle Schools. |

Fredric Beerstein has played in orchestras that have accompanied such performers such as Yo Yo Ma, Emmanuel Ax, Annie Akiko Meyers, Cho-Liang Lin, Van Clyburn, Midori and Sarah Chang. He is the oboe instructor at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California, and principal oboe of the Vicente Chamber Orchestra and the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra. Fred Beerstein is a 25-year member of the New West Symphony and Thousand Oaks Philharmonic for more than a decade. His work has also included recording for television and film as well as hundreds of chamber music performances. He has performed in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Past tenured positions also include principal oboist for the South Coast Symphony Orchestra and the principal oboist of the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra. Fred taught for 17 seasons at the Summer Program of the Idyllwild Arts Academy, as instructor at Ventura College, Bocal Majority/Operation Oboe and has a successful private studio. Other professional experience includes performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra on tour the Pacific Symphony Orchestra the Aspen Festival Orchestra the Aspen Chamber Symphony the Texas Festival Orchestra

I have been playing horn for thirteen years and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UCLA and a Master of Music Degree from USC. I am actively trying to build my music career in Los Angeles and I play many roles for different groups. I am a freelance horn player and I play with groups including the American Youth Symphony and Santa Monica Symphony. I am also the Administrative Coordinator for the Santa Monica Symphony. I work as an audio engineer where I record and live stream concerts for other musicians and groups. Between my different jobs I get to participate in concerts as a performer, engineer, and administrator. I love to see the different sides of what goes into making music possible. When I am not pursuing one of my music related passions you can find me hiking, at the beach, or playing video games online with friends

Kyung Lee is a gifted artist who emigrated from Korea to the United States at age 9. She made her debut with orchestra at age 10 and her first television appearance at age 11. She won numerous competitions from Florida Federation of Music Clubs and was awarded many scholarships, including a 10-year scholarship allegiance from Miami Music Club. Upon entering University of Miami, she won the prestigious Van Steenberg Scholarship which is awarded to an incoming freshman at the university’s music department open instrument competition. At age 21, she won the West Regional Chopin Competition in the 21 to 29-year age category. She was the winner of the Outstanding Keyboard Student of University of Miami Music Department where she received her Bachelor of Music degree with major in piano performance. She continued her studies at University of Southern California where she earned both her Master of Music degree and Doctor of Musical Arts degree with Piano Performance Major. She is now a very active teacher and member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California, having served as both President and Vice President of the MTAC-Conejo Valley Branch and currently serving as the Corresponding Secretary. Lee’s teaching experience spans over 20 years, that of Conejo Valley beginning in the year, 2000. Her students' accolades include winning SYMF competition, Southern California Junior Bach Showcase, and Conejo Valley Contemporary Fall Festival Gold Medal, among others. In addition to her private studio, she has taught group music lessons at a local music academy for 8 years. Her strengths lie in versatility of teaching styles and the depth of understanding her students. Such forte is reinforced by her minor fields in music education with emphasis on early childhood music, and piano pedagogy. Consequently, her expertise lies, not only on the technical and musical levels, but also on the levels of cognitive and emotional development. Lee is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University. She is also active in the music community and is an enthusiastic supporter of the performing arts and organizations, especially the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic. She has served on the board of T.O. Philharmonic and is committed to giving back to the community by performing regularly in benefit recitals. |

Alexander is an active performer as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. He regularly records and produces within the music and film industries, and directs and conducts orchestras both professional and educational.

Christine DeKlotz received her Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Southern California. She plays with local symphonies and accompanies soloists and choirs in performances throughout the Southland. She has accompanied Los Robles Master Chorale for 12 years, including touring to with them. She accompanies the Amadeus and Camerata Choirs as well as Village Voices in Westlake Village. She enjoys performing chamber music as well as teaching piano and leading recorder groups. She is the Music Director at Faith Lutheran Church in Moorpark. According to Chris, “Music has a way of filling all the nooks and crannies.” |
Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Tomiko Hamada Taylor studied music and group psychotherapy, leading her to write case studies about acute schizophrenic patients and their relationship through improvisational music. After moving to California, she graduated from Cal State Northridge, majoring in Music Therapy as well as enjoying performances in chamber music, especially 20th century music. She annually produced the First Classic Concert for Children and Families 2001-2015. As producer, she invited professional artists, accompanying many of the guest performers. She furthered music education to children and their families with her guests through conversations, performances, and audience participation. This unique, free concert was designed for all children.
